Banbury United Youth took on local rivals Deddington Colts Cheetahs away. With the moles tackling as hard as players the pitch became a factor and with some unwell players United struggled to find any form. In truth, Deddington Colts Cheetahs should have been 2-0 up at half-time. With Shay Kelly and Connor Sims at the back the score line remained nil/nil with Taylor Jenkins producing United’s only efforts at goal.
The second half Paul Barnes came on for Taylor Jenkins and United upped their tempo. An individual goal from Lincoln Alexander was quickly followed by a Deddington goal, which had Nathan Gibbins wrong footing George Millward in United’s goal. Callum Reed then set up Oliver McBride for another individual goal. The closely fought match enjoyed by everyone ended 1-2 to United.
